* Currently in Diksmuide, Belgium. As of July 30th I will be active in and around Espoo, Finland. I have an extensive background in teaching, and have done a variety of subjects. I am primarily interested in being an English language tutor, with a concentration on English conversation and English writing. Having been educated in Singapore and the United States, I can teach both British and American English. I focus on quality, and generating the maximum amount of enthusiasm out of the student. I find that speaking/writing about a subject that you have a strong interest in gives the best and fastest results. I prefer tutoring via Skype, because it allows me to offer my services worldwide and it eliminates travel time. I am a writer, and have my first novel in editing.

Hobbies
I come from a very diverse and International background. I was born in Belgium, grew up in Singapore, and went to University in the United States where I lived for a combined fifteen years. I identify strongly as a Third Culture Kid (TCK). I am technically European but I feel more Asian-American. I thoroughly enjoy drawing, which I have done since I was very young. As is the case with many a kid, I wanted to be a pilot when I was young. Getting my private pilot's license in 1995 remains a big milestone for me. I take health and fitness very seriously and spend around 12 hours a week training. I'm still occasionally active in music. I have a degree in Jazz saxophone, and have performed with Wynton Marsalis, Ernie Watts, and Marvin Stamm to name a few. As is typical of a professional writer, I love to read and my biggest monthly discretionary expense is books. My favourite writers are JK Rowling, Clive Barker, and Neil Gaiman.
