Education
I graduated with a MA Religious studies from the university of Aberdeen, Scotland, last summer. My degree focus was on conflict resolution and justice & reconciliation. Before University I went to High school in southern Sweden where my degree focus was on English and Drama.
Experience
While being at University I tutored one High-school student in both her history and religion subjects, and then I also helped one foreign university exchange student with English grammar & spelling and speaking & pronunciation. It was a very giving experience and I truly felt it to be a natural thing to do for me. I have been fortunate myself to have had one excellent tutor in my early school years, he was my stepping stone my successful academic career. Therefore, I understand the immense difference good tutoring can make, and with my patience, knowledge and sense of humour I make a jolly good tutor myself. I recently moved to Helsinki for a job at Hilton, I want to experience a completely different culture and work environment before I move back to the U.K to start my P.H.D. To be able to tutor during my stay here in Helsinki would just be the cherry on top! During my undergrad years at the University of Aberdeen, and the University of Oklahoma, I took the change to take on extra credits and eagerly took classes in subjects outside of my degree, such as; International Relations & Politics, Art History, European Law, German, Arabic, and more. I have been awarded many language certificates, including; Cambridge Academic, IELTS, TOEFL, DSD Deutsche Sprache, and more.

Hobbies
originally I am born in the Netherlands, but I grew up mostly in Sweden, Having already lived in 6 different countries has contributed to by hunger for culture and travelling. As much as I do like a buzzing city I always yearn for the scenery of the outdoors, and I am a fan of all winter sports! My entire life I have been taking care of, and riding horses, so animals are a big passion of mine. In my everyday life I enjoy all the small things in life, a good book, home-cooking, a touching movie and good company.
